EARLY HIGH POINT SETTLER

In 1868, Willis Hinton came to High Point. At the time only three stores constituted the business district.  Hinton never received a formal education, but worked numerous jobs throughout his career.  Upon his death he was able to give a home and a modicum amount of money to each of his children.
